Body-based practices work at the level where past trauma, experiences, memories and stressors are held:in the nervous system and the body itself. Rather than relying solely on understanding or analyzing, somatic work helps process and resolve past events at their source—gently following the body's innate wisdom to release what no longer serves you.
While these sessions focus on advanced breath practice, they may also included elements of mindfulness, movement, contemplation or somatic techniques.
Session length is roughly 1.75 hours. Please allow extra time in your day to ensure sufficient space for integration.
Individualized based on your needs and goals, this 1-hour session will set the foundations for our work together. We will focus on mindfulness, body-mind and nervous system awareness and basic somatic, regulation and breath techniques.

These sessions primarily utilize Somatic Experiencing techniques, which is a body-oriented therapy that helps people heal via the body rather than solely the mind. It is based in psychology, physiology and neuroscience and has been proven highly effective for releasing traumatic shock and recovering from stress, shock and trauma.
