Body-based (somatic) practices can ease symptoms by helping us to process past events and resolve them at the original / causal level. We work gently, following the body’s innate wisdom to understand holding patterns and survival responses, understand the dynamics of nervous systems states and how to work with them more effectively, strengthen emotional and sensation tolerance, re-gain regulation techniques and self-care practices.

Sessions offered virtually via Zoom or In=Person in Calgary, Alberta.
These sessions deploy a combination of advanced breath practice, mindfulness, movement, contemplation and somatic techniques, and are best suited to ongoing clients with experience in embodiment practices including breathwork.
Session length is roughly 1.75 hours and please allow extra time in your day to ensure sufficient space for integration.
These sessions deploy Somatic Experiencing teachings, which is a body-oriented therapy that helps people heal by working through the body rather than (solely) the mind. It is based on a combination of psychology, physiology and neuroscience and has been proven highly effective releasing traumatic shock and recovering from stress, shock and trauma.
Individualized based on your needs and goals, this 1-hour session will set the foundations for our work together. We will focus on mindfulness, body-mind and nervous system awareness and basic somatic, regulation and breath techniques.
